HISTOSONDA® THYROGLOBULIN

E-mail Print PDF

thyroglobulinINTRODUCTION

Thyroglobulin is a protein produced by the thyroid follicular cell and is stored in the follicular colloid.

Immunohistochemistry with antibodies against thyroglobulin is accompanied by an intense tissue background staining due to the large quantity of colloid that makes clear results practically unattainable. In situ hybridization resolves this problem as it only recognizes the RNA and not the protein.

CENBIMO has developed a single stranded DNA probe with a length of 552 nucleotides that is completely situated in the mRNA coding region of the Thyroglobulin gene.

INTENDED USE

For use in In Vitro Diagnosis.

Histosonda Thyroglobulin is useful for the study and diagnosis of thyroid tumors and their metastases.

WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS Histosonda Thyroglobulin has been designed for professional use in In Vitro Diagnosis and must be manipulated by qualified and accordingly trained personnel.

In order to obtain the best results, the instructions contained in the manual must be followed. Any change to the indicated temperatures, times or any other step of the process can lead to poor results.

KIT COMPONENTS

The kit includes 20 single test tubes of lyophilized Histosonda Thyroglobulin Histosonda Thyroglobulin consists of a segment of single-stranded DNA complementary to expressed RNA, with a length of 552 nucleotides.
