With CENBIMO´S Technology, CENBIMO  can fabricate hundreds of probes targeted to detect the coding RNA of many proteins.

In the immediate future, CENBIMO is going to dedicate it’s work and efforts to the fabrication of hybridization probes against:

§ Oncogenes such as src, c-MYC and the entire EGFR family (it has already have constructed a probe against c-erbB3).

§ Genes implicated in transcription and cellular signalling such as Janus Kinase 2, NF-κ B.

§ Genes implicated in metastatic spread (it already have probes in development that work very well against SPARC and MMP1).

§ Probes for the detection of genes implicated in tumoral neovascularisation such as VGFA and VGFR.

§ Probes against viruses. Apart from the viral probes that it already have for CMV and the Epstein-Barr virus, and CENBIMO will fabricate probes for Herpes Virus 8, implicated in Kaposi’s Sarcoma and Castlemans disease. Above all CENBIMO is already advanced with the development of probes for the detection of HPV.

§ Probes for the detection of non-coding RNA. Recently CENBIMO have been looking into the fascinating world of the RNAs that do not code for proteins and whose function is to regulate complex processes like transcription and translation. Publications on this theme are occupying more and more space in the scientific literature (for example the February 2009 issue of CELL was a monograph dedicated exclusively to RNA). As non coding RNA do not produce protein, no one can never produce antibodies against them, and the only way that scientist  will be able to be detected is by hybridization techniques. In this field CENBIMO is looking forward to become leaders.
